Faith & Life

Bio

My name is Rosita Tamayo, and I’m from Mexico. I love cooking and traveling. I enjoy spending time with my family, who live in Mexico. I have a university degree in Education and have worked as a teacher for 12 years. I firmly believe that my work as a teacher is also my life’s calling. I consider it a blessing, and I do my best to carry it out with love. I love working at NPC because I can not only share my language but also my culture with my students and their families.

Statement of Faith

I was raised in God’s love since I was little. My family, school, and church were important parts of my life that helped me get to know God. It wasn’t until I was 16, however, that a classmate invited me to experience something in a youth group. I truly never imagined how wonderful it would be to feel and accept God in my life in that way. I experienced a true encounter with God that day and felt His love and forgiveness in a beautiful way.

Since that day, I have held God’s hand, and every day I verify that He has never let go of me. The experience with the youth group marked my life, and I had the joy of living a formation in the faith for four years. The greatest learning from these four years is that I was created with the purpose of being an apostle of Christ, that is to say, to take God with me and transmit Him to others. For this reason, I made the decision to serve a group of young people from that same community, and I had the blessing of being in charge for five years. During this time of strengthening my relationship and love for Christ, I was old enough to start college. I firmly

believed God wanted me to be a teacher. I chose to become a teacher because I believe that teachers transmit God’s love, kindness, truth, and wisdom in the work we do every day. We pass these along with our love to students. We transmit them through our words and our actions.
