Seeing God in the Angles:
How Faith Shapes Every Classroom
at NorthPointe Christian

At NorthPointe Christian, faith is not confined to Bible class or chapel.

Faith is intentionally woven into every subject, every lesson, every moment. We believe that even subjects like math can point students back to God.
But what does that actually look like in a classroom?

Recently, 6th grade teacher Chloe Condron gave a glimpse into how this plays out during a math lesson.

This week in math, we are wrapping up a unit about lines and angle relationships,”Ms. Condron shared. “In one of our classroom discussions, we talked about how we could see God in the topic. I asked students this question: “If God cares about the relationships between angles and bothered to set order to something so little, do you think He cares about the relationships between His people?”

Angles are very interconnected. They work together. In the same way, God did not make us to live in isolation, but rather in community. In creation, the first thing God said was “not good” was that Adam was alone!

We are not designed for a life on our own and void of relationships. God’s will for our lives is to live with harmony and unity in our family, church community, and friendships.

Are you holding on to bitterness? Someone you’re not willing to forgive? Someone you don’t want to apologize to? It is also important to remember, the first relationship we need to make right is with God! All the others will fall into place after.

“I challenged my students to consider this: ‘How are your relationships? Are you living in unity with others? If not, what needs to be done to restore that relationship?”

These are not typical “math class” questions. And that is exactly the point.

It is in these small, intentional moments that a NorthPointe Christian education stands apart. Students are not just learning content. They are learning to see the world through a Biblical lens, discovering that even angles and lines can point them toward truth, purpose, and ultimately, toward God.
