Statement of Faith

Every day in my classroom, I try to live out the Love Mandate from Matthew 22:37-38: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” That verse isn’t just a guiding principle; it is why I am able to do what I do! I want my students to know they’re seen, known, and loved, not just by me, but by God. Each one is made in His image, and that truth shapes how I speak to them, how I listen, and how I create a space where they feel safe to grow.

Relationships matter deeply to me. I’ve seen how students thrive when they know they’re cared for, when grace is extended, and when kindness is the norm. My hope is that our classroom becomes a reflection of Christ’s love. A place where learning is joyful, challenges are met with support, and faith is woven into everyday moments.

The Mission Mandate in Matthew 28:18-20 fuels my passion for discipleship. Teaching isn’t just a job for me, it’s a ministry. I see each lesson, each conversation, as a chance to point students toward truth and help them connect their faith to real life. Whether it’s through mentoring, prayer, or simply being present, I want to be a vessel God can use to plant seeds of truth that the Holy Spirit will grow in His time. I strive to help students see their purpose and mission in life.

The Image Mandate from Genesis 1:26, 28 reminds me that God’s fingerprints are everywhere. In science, I see His creativity; in math, His order; in history, His story unfolding. I want my students to see that learning isn’t separate from faith; it’s a way to discover more about who God is and how He’s working in the world. My prayer is that they’ll not only gain knowledge but also grow in wonder, stewardship, and a desire to use what they learn to honor Him.
