Students are divided into groups of 4 or 5 with a leader that is a teacher, parent or college student. Small groups meet every other week on Thursdays from 7:45-8:05am. Time is spent encouraging and nurturing the development of community and faith. This is accomplished through devotions, discussions about discernment, and team building activities.
Below are some quotes from our kids:
"I love that Mr. Manuel has a great sense of humor, understands us, and talks to us about things that truly matter." -Nick Cross -8th grade
"We loved our leader! She was so cool. She was funny and wild, just like us. She taught us to encourage others and pray for others regularly." -Kate Hamilton & Rachel Smestad -8th grade
"I love small groups. They are fun and they also help us in our walk with God. I loved that it was just a couple of people in your group and a leader. My favorite part was discussing the devotions that we read each time. Sometimes I didn't understand something, but someone else would help explain it to me. It was a great way to get to know other people better and an awesome way to become closer to God." -Tori Baker-8th grade
"What I love about small groups is that you get to know each other more and more. It's a neat way to connect and we always had time to share prayer requests and pray for each other." -Lydia Mooney-8th grade
"I loved talking with Mr. Molda. I was so glad he was my leader the last two years." -Devin Wyma-8th grade
"I loved Mr. McGinnis. I appreciated that he understood us and could joke with us but still lead us and help us grow. He was a great spiritual leader for me this year." -Harrison McIlhargey -8th grade
