Pebbles and Stones is a intergenerational teaching style that helps children grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ: It is based on the verses in I Peter 2:4-5 “As you come to him, the living Stone – rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to Him – you also like living stones are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”
The Pebbles & Stones groups at NorthPointe Christian Elementary consist of about ten students led by a staff member or parent volunteer. They meet one Friday per month. The students spend time reflecting on God's word, and spend time in reflection by journaling about what God is teaching them. The groups pray with each other regarding what God has laid on their heart. This ministry has served our student body as a unique way for older students to lead younger students spiritually as role models.
