Chapel Ministry
You are invited to join us for Chapel each Friday from 10:20-11am in the Elementary gym.
Parents and visitors are always welcome to join in. The worship portion of chapel is led by our music teachers who sometimes organize student worship teams to help out. Speakers for chapel often include local church youth pastors, camp directors, parent volunteers, staff members and special visitors. Come and be blessed while worshiping beside our elementary students. The kids' love for Jesus is evident through their vibrant voices as they worship together!
Elementary School Theme
Each school year, the Elementary staff work together to design the theme for the chapel program to focus on throughout the year. The student learn songs, verses, and hear messages surrounding that theme in their classrooms and in chapel.
The theme for 2011-2012 is Name Above All Names, key passage Philippians 2:9-11
Philippians 2:9-11
New International Version (NIV)
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
The names of God in the Bible reveal His character and attributes. Our goal this year is to learn more about the names of Jesus revealed in scripture to give our students faith, strength, courage, and victory to overcome worry, doubt, fear, and compromise. Each month we introduce a new name of Jesus. Our theme song rehearses many of those names for our memory.

The theme for 2010-2011 was "We are the body of Christ" and students got to explore what it means to have hands that serve, mouths that share the good news, a heart that loves, and many other great spiritual lessons. Students were awarded "Body Builder" t-shirts if their teacher nominated them as someone who portraying the "body" attribute of the month.
