All-School Outings
The elementary has had a running tradition of all-school field trips that take place through the end of a school day and into the afternoon. Parents and students have had fun at Pando Ski Resort & Tubing hills and rollerskating at local rinks.
Field Trips
Each class takes between 2 and 4 field trips each school year. These are great opportunities for students to get real-world looks at how what they're learning applies to the world around them.
Field Day
Each Spring over 40 parent volunteers help our gym teacher plan a day of fun physical competition for students in grades 1-5. Three-legged races, standing long jump, frisbee toss, soccer kick, football throw, foot races, and so many other activities make this a fun team day for all those involved!
Jog-a-Thon
Each May students are required to participate in training and competing in the Jog-a-Thon fundraiser. Students are encouraged (but not required) to recruit donations that benefit tuition assistance scholarships for students school-wide. Laps are run and monetary pledges are collected. Awards are given for different levels of fundraising & laps completed.
Grandparents Day
The last Friday in October our campuses are flooded with fun grandparent visitors who enjoy refreshments, a brief program, and fun activities with their grandchildren in classrooms. This is a very fun day for our students to show off their school and the lasting impact the school community has had in their lives.
Academic Competition Opportunities
Students can participate in a Speech Meet, a Spelling Bee, and Math competitions. Preparation for these begins at school and students are encouraged to work on them at home as well!
Parent Appreciation Events
Muffins with Moms and Donuts with Dads are two morning events where students and teachers get to host parents for a special time with other students and parents.
Colt Carnival
This is our annual family fun night hosted in the month of March sponsored by our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and is a night full of carnival games, cotton candy, face painting, cake walks, prizes and a carnival dinner.
Donuts with Dads & Muffins with Moms
These are fun mornings when students get to host parents on campus before school begins for a special breakfast together. Parents find this is a great way to mingle with other parents and a unique time to meet their child's friends.
