Art (6-8th Grade):

Students create art with a variety of materials to explore the relationship between themselves and their world. Projects range from traditional materials such as pencil, charcoal, and pastels; to contemporary materials such as found objects, plaster, tape, and wire.

Band & Orchestra (6-8th grade):

Each student has the opportunity to learn a musical instrument. There are separate classes per grade level. Band and orchestra meet independently, and are taught by staff especially trained for their particular area of instruction. Students work on refining techniques, striving for excellence and work on challenging music. Band and orchestra students attend the Solo & Ensemble Festival.

Choir (7 & 8):

Middle School Choir is an award winning ensemble for students who have a desire to use their God-given abilities to sing.  Middle School choir performs in 4 school concerts during the school year and participates in festival during the spring. Students concentrate on sight singing, studying different genres of music, and preparing for performances. There is opportunity for students to compete at Solo & Ensemble Festival individually and as a group. Students learn how to sing in three parts. They have the opportunity to travel to District and State Choir Contest. Some students participate in various acts in Dinner Theatre in the Spring. Students can participate in:

  • Choir & Orchestra
  • Choir & Study Hall
  • Choir & Band

Drama:

Each Fall, our Middle School students put on a theatrical production complete with a cast, a crew, props, costumes, and all the fun that comes with it. This is an after school commitment for practices and performances.
