Statement of Faith
I am thankful for the blessing to be born into a Christian family, and attending NorthPointe Christian as a student where I was taught and shown God’s love and mercy. Even though, I had heard about God, I did not have a personal relationship with Him. It wasn’t until my freshman year of high school that the Holy Sprit broke my pride and made me see with clarity the life I was living was not a life that depicted Christ. The verse that is continually brought to mind when I reflect back on God’s mercy in saving me is, 2 Corinthians 12:9; “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
I count it a privilege to be working at a school where Christ is the center. I continue to strive to live my life in order to show Christ through me in my day-to-day interactions with staff and students. In my conversations with students I have them reflect what God’s Word says and how we as followers should be living it. Each morning, I take the time to pray for the students that I work with and ask God to make himself known to them. Using NorthPotine’s mandates; the love mandate, the mission mandate and the image mandate, my goal is that the students will be able to carry these mandates even through their post elementary schooling.
“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.”
