This is a great chance for
homeschooled kids to experience a bit of the
“classic” school in the warm, inviting atmosphere of
NPCS and this is also an opportunity for for CAP
students to get get fine arts classes! The
Friday Classes meet from 8:05 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. The
intent is to provide an educationally enriching, fun
time with no homework to take home.
Cost of Friday Classes:
Morning classes for 1 semester $250
Afternoon classes for 1 semester $250
Entire day for the whole year $996.
Classes are divided into 1st-3rd graders and 4th-6th
graders. Students who enroll in the morning or
afternoon classes only may attend Chapel, lunch and
recess with the full-time students for free.
Students who enroll for the whole day will join the full-time NorthPointe
Christian students for chapel, lunch, and recess.

Friday morning classes for 1st
- 3rd graders
Physical Education - Mrs. Ani Blickley
This is a classic PE
class where the students have fun while learning
skills and rules for several different sports.
Spanish - Mrs. Deb Pitsch
Join Senora Pitsch as we learn Spanish language and
culture together. We will be memorizing Bible
verses, reading and writing in Spanish, exploring
the culture through holidays and themes, singing,
learning relevant vocabulary, and learning about
missionaries and their affect on the culture.
We'll develop a love of the Spanish people and
language.
Lego Learning - Mrs. Sarah
VanderKolk
Using Legos, students will explore basic mechanical
principles such as how gears, levers, pulleys,
wheels and axles work. We'll investigate
force, buoyancy and balance. Students will
create inventions, machines, and devices to solve
real-world problems and also apply mathematical and
scientific principles for concrete practical
purposes.
Friday afternoon classes
for 1st - 3rd graders
Art - Mrs.
Nora Faber
We will begin with the cave paintings in
France, journey through China, Japan, Africa,
Mexico, the Americas and end the class with the
beginning of Modern art. Art elements
line, shape, space, and texture will be emphasized.
Students will create one paper-mache sculpture ad
two clay projects.
Nature Studies - Mrs. Sarah
VanderKolk
We'll explore the great outdoors - trees, leaves,
animals, water, insects and more. Class will
be held outdoors often ad a field trip or two may be
scheduled.
Music - Yet to be determined
Classes will include basic instruction in singing
and fundamental skills to reading music. Plus
students will enjoy using some unique instruments.

Chemistry Matters
(Semester 1) - Mrs. Deb Pitsch
We'll burn, boil, mix, and submerge things to
explore matter, space, energy, reactions, and atoms.
Some experiments are edible, some are messy, but all
are a fun way to explore Chemistry and science.
Primarily Physics
(Semester 2) - Mrs. Deb Pitsch
We'll construct catapults to test variables and
engineer "pubb" mobiles to explore wind energy.
We'll burn Hershey Kisses, use the school slide in
unconventional ways, compete to save an ice cube
from melting, and use our ears for different sound
activities. These fun activities will help us
explore and understand friction, pendulums,
conductors, magnets, wind energy, and sound.

through creating imaginary animal drawings and we
will study form and texture through creating two
clay sculptures and one wire sculpture.
