Man vs. Wild-The Impact of Humans on the Michigan Woodlands

A year-long opportunity of learning at Camp Roger – 8356 Belding Road, Rockford, MI

This program for 7th and 8th grade students meets one Friday per month. Students dress for the weather, bring their own lunches and spend most of the day outdoors. 

Each day will include a different topic, an in-depth plot study, science and socialization. 

We will address such questions as:

  • What is man’s role in protecting the created world?
  • Should every Christian be an environmentalist?
  • How can we best be stewards of what God has given us?
  • How can we find a balance between consumption and protection of wilderness areas?
  • How is my family doing in protecting the environment?

The dates we meet are yet to be determined:

  • Fall: September 18, October 9, November 13
  • Winter: December 4, January 8, February 5
  • Spring: March 12, April 16, May 7

 Class size: 8 students minimum- 20 maximum
